Local Unit & Position Description

DNV GL – Group Employee Communication is seeking a new team member to help drive DNV GL’s strategy of digital transformation, customer centricity and efficiency.


As a global and diverse business that depends on highly educated employees, DNV GL’s internal communication needs are complex and challenging. You will work with engaged and skilled colleagues to provide strategic communication advice and support, helping connect employees’ activities, drive and expertise with DNV GL’s strategic ambitions.


As part of Group Communications, we offer an international environment, variation in job content, and broad and high-level interfaces across DNV GL. The position is based at DNV GL’s global headquarters in Oslo (Høvik), Norway on local terms and conditions.


Job Description

  • Provide strategic communication advice and support in an environment that includes globally respected experts within a wide range of technical and business disciplines
  • Provide professional advice on employee communication in a digital workplace, and shape how DNV GL can use data and technology to communicate smarter and more effectively
  • Develop communication strategies and plans that support achievement of DNV GL’s strategic goals, and execute them through well-designed projects and activities
  • Produce high impact and high quality content for a variety of target groups and channels
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and cooperation with different functions and units across the company, and foster sharing of best practice and content

Position Qualifications

  • Proven strategic communication skills, including communication strategy development, planning and execution within a digital workplace
  • Five or more years of communication-related work, preferably at Corporate/Group level in a large, international organization
  • Experience in building a digital corporate culture is beneficial
  • Competence and confidence to simplify and prioritize when issues are complex, and ability to align many agendas and priorities
  • Ability to have a broad perspective while maintaining attention to detail, as well as to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to establish good professional relationships and influence outcomes
  • Self-driven and highly committed to your work
  • Business acumen
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
