  • Local Unit & Position Description

    DNV GL – Oil & Gas’s Pipeline Services group is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Temp-Hire) to join our Materials Corrosion Testing team. This position is based out of our Dublin, Ohio laboratory.

     

    Tasks May Include: (Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate may expect)

    • Set-up and run laboratory experiments
    • Analyze test specimens
    • Perform tasks on projects relating to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis. This includes experimental setup, data collection and data reporting.
    • Inspection, testing, repair, and installation of equipment.
    • Works in one or more areas of technical expertise to develop the capability of working independently on project activities while performs their work under supervision of the project investigator.
    • Assists more experienced Technicians, Technologists and professionals in technical assignments.
    • Follow the Safety, Health Environmental and Quality Assurance program on projects for which he/she is performing the work
    • Record research activities performed in lab book
    • Other duties as assigned

    Position Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma
    • 0-5 years’ (or more) work experience; 3+ years laboratory work experience strongly desired
    • Mechanically inclined, hands-on work experience
    • Motivated, capable of working independently
    • Ability to follow specified test procedures
    • Ability to regularly lift 25lbs
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel
    • Experience working on projects with fixed budget
