The mission of the Global Communications team is to support the Business Area Energy in achieving its strategic goals by developing and implementing integrated communications strategies and programs. The function supports the business in building a solid reputation and brand amongst key stakeholders in the energy market and creates opportunities to increase revenue for the business. The integrated communications strategies include external communications and stakeholder management, events management, marketing communications, PR, media relations and internal communications. The Global Communications team has a global expertise center in the head office in Arnhem, The Netherlands, two support centers and five professional regional teams to support the business in the local markets. The Global Team works closely together with Group Communications in Norway.
The key purpose of the function is to support the DNV GL - Energy business in the region Asia Pacific by developing and implementing integrated marketing communication programs, deploying global campaigns locally and applying modern marketing and communication techniques. The function addresses the needs of the local Advisory business and the local needs of the Global Business Units; Power TIC (KEMA), Renewables Certification and Sustainable Energy Use (SUS).
The Role
Advisor to the business
Acts as professional advisor to the business on a day to day basis, reaching out pro-actively to business managers, experts and consultants.
Integrated marketing communication campaigns
Translates complex business strategies and tactics into integrated marketing communication programs and takes care of the implementation. Campaigns should bring messages in such a way that target audiences understand our positioning, educate on the industry challenges/opportunities, and/or provide fresh insights on topical issues. The manager plans and analyses the campaigns in a SMART way providing insightful reports that measure the effect of campaigns in order to continuously improve the activities. The manager should be familiar with modern digital marketing and communication techniques and tools such as marketing automation, social media and on line advertising.

Content development
Works with our experts and consultants to create and maintain effective tools and materials, including fact sheets, case studies, blog posts, presentations, product/service overviews, and other collateral. Ability to translate complex technical issues in clear messages and language. Must have working knowledge of brand central (uploading, templates). Should understand our brand guidelines and be able to apply them, including design and tone of voice.
Media relations
Draft press releases to support media outreach activities conducted by PR Agency.
Web
Works with relevant business teams to update web content for designated areas. Knowledge of Tridion and Google Analytics is required or should be easy to learn.
Social Media
Lead social media activity for the designated areas, working with the Regional Head of Communications on a strategy that supports our businesses in the region; sharing best practices/knowledge in order to create lead generation and higher brand awareness. Should be familiar with tools for scheduling updates, and setting up streams. Operate and maintain DNV GL's blog presence for the designated area, focusing on current trends and themes.
Event marketing
Proposes selection of events that best suit the business goals. Executes events, in close cooperation with the event manager including definition of themes and event marketing strategies. Key metrics: increased revenue from paid registrations; increased attendance among key targets; lead generation; social media mentions & engagement, key account engagement; landing page views.

Travel
Regular travel to India for industry/internal events & meetings and other regional travel may be required. Travel is less than 25%.
