    DNV GL – Oil & Gas Region Americas is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Regional Finance team. This position is based out of our Katy, TX office.

    The Business Analyst will report to the Regional Finance Manager and will support the Heads of Departments in optimizing the financial processes, and contribute with analyses and financial insights to enable best possible financial decisions when developing new business going forward.


    Tasks May Include

    • Assure that numbers are trustworthy, complete and on time 
    • Understand and report financial performance of the unit against target and forecast combined with business analysis
    • Partner with the business to ensure line management take ownership of and have control over the P&L
    • Advise and provide support in finance to management and work closely with other departments as a supporting and advisory capacity
    • Coordinate and manage target setting and quarterly forecasting processes
    • Coordinate and review the necessary input to monthly and quarterly reports
    • Manage all finance and accounting operations with focus on service quality
    • Review of proposals and pricing policies
    • ‘Look forward’ - facilitate, report & challenge AOP’s, forecasts and order book
    • Support in daily operations, including performance analyses and improvement initiatives
    • Monitoring of balance sheet items like accounts receivables, work in progress, accrued expenses and taking corrective actions where necessary
    • Monitor and assess key performance parameters via periodic analysis of the unit goals, benchmark monitoring, performance indicators, project profitability analysis, and internal audits/reviews
    • Ensure compliance with DNV GL’s internal Management System guidelines and BA governance principles
    • Lead the optimization of work efficiency and cost- and cash-driven entrepreneurial culture
    • Develop and review local processes and guidelines in the country within the financial area

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
    • Minimum 3 years of experience from accounting/finance/controllership. Experience from similar roles is a plus.
    • Experience with working for a multinational business and experience supporting consultancy services is a plus.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Advanced user of MS Office, Excel advanced, Power BI.
    • Experience working with DNV GL internal tools will be a plus: Agresso, Vadis, Basware, Abacus, Oracle
    • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 10% of the time, including internationally
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

    • Master’s degree and/or certification is preferred
