  • Local Unit & Position Description

    The GSS Human Resources Department provides support to the following BA’s: Maritime, Oil & Gas, Business Assurance, Energy and Digital Solutions. Currently, we have around 750 employees overall in region South Asia/Pacific. The Compensation and Benefits/Mobility Advisor reports to the Regional Manager, GSS HR South Asia/Pacific, as one of three HR Advisors with specialisms. The specialisms for the open role are:

    Compensation and Benefits advisory across 9 countries: 40% of time

    Global Mobility point of contact for the region, responsible for intra-region, outbound region and localization of assignees: 40% of time

    HR Advisory, supporting management in a wide range of services (handbook renewal, recruitment matters, etc.): 20% of time.


    The Role

    • Participation in annual job matching with data provider
    • Support annual salary and promotion review cycle, working with HR managers in the various business units
    • Provide ad hoc advice on compensation matters
    • See to timely and adequate review, extension and payment of employee insurances across the region, via brokers and direct insurance
    • Provide support on pension matters in selected countries
    • Act as specialist for the region in Global Mobility, member of global network
    • Provide home and host services to support international assignees (contracts and renewals, repatriations, payments of home benefits to home locations; invoicing host locations for outbound assignees etc.)
    • Arrange tax support for short term and long term assignees in the region, working with tax providers (arrival/departure briefings, annual tax returns)
    • Consult and advice to line managers, HR Managers and HR consultants in the Business Areas
    • Support related to individual employment relation cases including but not limited to grievance dialogues and advise on exit negotiations
    • Advice to Business Areas related to change management
    • Monitoring local legislation and performance of annual handbook reviews
    • General HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) advice based on knowledge of DNV GL’s HSE practice

    Position Qualifications

    • A recognised qualification in HR or a related discipline
    • Previous HR experience at least 7 years in compensation and benefits
    • Previous experience at least 5 years in managing international assignees
    • Strong numerical/financial literacy
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Advanced written & verbal communication skills
    • Strong at building relationship with stakeholders at all levels and good interpersonal skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Customer focus and service minded
    • Fluency in spoken and written English
