    DNV GL Energy – Sustainable Energy Use’s Program Development and Implementation group is seeking a Residential Conservation Specialist (QA) to join our Residential program team.  The specialist will be conducting Quality Assurance (QA) inspections as a 3rd party to a large utility program that conducts residential in home energy assessments. This part-time position will be based in the Ohio or Indiana areas, and will involve 100% work at customer sites in the local area. The ability to drive to customer sites using your own vehicle is required; travel costs wil be reimbursed. This position will involve approximately 80-100 hours per month.


    Tasks May Include

    • Perform Quality Assurance on personnel performing Energy Audits
    • Provide education, ideas and solutions for energy efficiency
    • Provide feedback and/or education of deficiencies to personnel receiving the Quality Assurance process
    • Provide and maintain accurate data and records according to schedule
    • Accurate completion of QA reports and check lists

    Position Qualifications

    Position qualifications

    • 1 year of related experience in energy, building sciences or construction trades
    • Associates Degree preferred
    • Building Science education or experience preferred
    • BPI, HERS or home inspection certification is a plus
    • Basic mathematical skills

    • Familiar with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    • Availability to work between 80-120 hours per month
    • Performs work professionally and respectful of customer needs

    • Follows and completes scheduled work on time

    • Communicates with impact, authenticity and empathy
    • Is open to change, creative and takes initiative
    • Maintains tools, equipment, inventory and vehicle
    • Must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time
    • Willing to do overnight traveling 2-3 times weekly
    • Willingness to travel to Montana for a 2 week training period
    • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license is required
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
