Are you our new Sales Manager for Maritime Software in Europe?
DNV GL Digital Solutions has set exciting targets for further business growth. We are now looking to hire a dynamic and driven sales professional to contribute to this expansion. As our new Sales Manager, you will be responsible for increasing the sales of our software to a range of customers in the maritime industries. Part of a collaborative team of 15 sales and support professionals in our area Northern, Central and Eastern Europe (NCEE).
Some key responsibilities and deliveries will be to:
• Achieve assigned sales targets for our products and solutions in the Nordics
• Generate and qualify leads for new opportunities for our maritime software solutions
• Advice the clients to the right solution
• Scale up existing accounts through effective and continuous customer engagements and by maintaining excellent customer relations with the shipping community
• Present and demonstrate functional features of the ship management software and technical solutions to prospective customers
• Prepare and present proposals / tenders to prospective and existing customers
• Follow up all opportunities to negotiate and convert them into sales closures
• Provide feedback to Product Management functions on market dynamics and trends for better fit-for-market product / solution
This is a great opportunity to work with B2B software sales towards the maritime industries, taking on a Nordic responsibility within a well renowned and global organization. You will report to the regional Area Manager. Business travels will be required. Location will be DNV GL offices in Hamburg or Rostock, Germany.
•A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related qualifications.
•Experience and good knowledge of the Maritime & shipping industries
•Formal qualification in or exposure to selling maritime software solutions in the maritime environment
•Proven experience in successfully selling software products, solutions and services.
•Exposure to working in a medium or large software organization serving international clients in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German and/or Norwegian advantageous)
•Excellent problem solving skill and capable to work independently with minimum supervision.
•Team player with proven ability to work closely with marketing and project teams.
