    Brief Team and Position Summary: 


    The Integrity Solutions section within the Pipeline Services Department at DNV GL is currently seeking entry level engineers to support its team of Integrity Engineers. The Integrity Solutions section supports the Oil and Gas industry by providing quality engineering services that ensure Pipeline Operators are operating their assets safely, efficiently, and in a manner, that meets regulatory requirements. The entry level engineers should be self-motivated, hard-working, possess excellent team and leadership skills, and be eager to take on challenging tasks in a fast-paced engineering environment.


    The position offers prospective candidates the opportunity to work with engineers who have one to 35 years of industry experience and possess a broad range of skills and expertise that are recognized worldwide. This position will be located in our Dublin, Ohio office. The entry level engineers typically support pipeline Integrity projects through the following types of tasks:



    Tasks May Include:

    • Working effectively and efficiently within a group of engineers (~20), consultants (1), and data verification specialists (3)
    • Compiling data received from pipeline operators and determining the appropriate methodologies and calculations to solve issue at hand.
    • Documenting analyses and processes and procedures in a technical format to clearly deliver results and the implications of those results to the pipeline operator.
    • Engage in a group of engineers and consultants, reviewing, and verifying each other’s work.
    • Interact with other team members and clients in a manner that is professional and promotes collaboration
    • Writing of technical papers or presentations of innovative work or projects, if desired
    • Attending technical seminars to increase understanding of the pipeline industry and new technologies as well as to develop projects
    • Business development within existing projects and customers

    Position Qualifications



    • Education: B.S. or greater in Material Science & Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum grade point average of 3.0
    • Years of related experience: none
    • Engineering experience as an intern, co-op, or full-time employee (regardless of whether the experience is related to the Oil and Gas Industry)
    • We conduct a pre-employment background check and drug screen. 
    • Microsoft Excel and Word, strong technical writing skills, problem solving, critical thinking, ability to pick up technical concepts quickly

    • Ability to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individually.

    Travel requirement (% of the year): at least 25%


    Preferred Skills (Not Required):

    • Microsoft Powerpoint, macro and VBA programming experience
    • Involvement in extracurricular and/or charitable activities
    • Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
