  • Local Unit & Position Description

    Objective of the role:
    We are looking for an experienced Social Audit Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of the assurance services based on recognized standards (e.g. SMETA/SEDEX, BSCI, RBA/EICC) or customized technical protocols (e.g. Unilever, Mark and Spencer, Sainsbury Code of Conduct etc.).

    The aim is to manage the relationship to the important stakeholders/customers and manage/ramp-up the operational delivery of the audits in the Region North Europe in collaboration with DNV GL global supply chain team and our international network.


    Tasks may include:

    Relationship Management with a growth focus

    • Manages relationships with relevant stakeholders, participates in key industry forums and initiatives to support external positioning of DNV GL as a relevant player social audits 
    • Manages relationships with customers (UK retailors) and implements an approach of total customer focus
    • Takes an active role in new business opportunities/in maintaining the existing ones, supporting sales colleagues with the aim to develop current and future business
    • Supports the company strategy on supply chain assurance including innovative services such as digital assurance

    Operational Project Management to make DNV GL deliver according to expectations

    • Ensures the delivery of social audits in the region with high quality and provide customers with timely, complete and accurate reports of their suppliers’ current level of compliance
    • Responsibility for defining delivery needs such as auditors’ capacity and supporting their qualification
    • Maintains schedule of audit activity with customers and ensure tight and proactive management of audit projects
    • Coordination of work-flows among DNV GL international units and functions, calibrate teams process as well as perform technical review of reports
    • Monitoring of performance indicators and customer requirements
    • Regular updating and control of datasets with information submitted from internal and external parties


    Demonstrated track record in the following areas

    • Extensive experience conducting social audits based on international recognized schemes and initiatives (SMETA, BSCI, RBA, EICC.) or based on company’s social compliance internal programs
    • Strong in Project Management, management of large projects with given tasks, deadlines and KPIs
    • Strong networker and strong in Relationship Management, strong in direct relation and interaction with customers and stakeholders
