  • Local Unit & Position Description

    ​The person will be part of a small, experienced team developing the user interface and simulation engine used by most of the main oil and gas producers.

     

    ​Successfull Candidate will take over the user interface development for a simulation tool that analyses the efficiency and performance of oil and gas production fields and refinery assets. The role required the person to maintain and advance the existing application and continue the transition to a cloud implementation.

     

    Kay Tasks:

    • Assisting in the specification and design of funtionality agreed within the product roadmap
    • Coding and testing new features on the existing software using C++ and C#
    • Assisting in planning architectural changes, including those required for cloud deployment (Azure)
    • Assisting in the resolution of customer issues and providing fixes where required

    Position Qualifications

    • A degree in Computing Science or Engineering/Mathematics or related subject.
    • At least 10 years of experience in designing and developing software for Windows.
    • Experience of Azure would be beneficial.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with C++, preferably using Microsoft MFC.
    • Minimum 3 years of C# experience
    • Uising .net is required to quickly pick up the existing software.
    • Experience developing web services and web api's would also be helpful to continue the transition to web and cloud.
