  • Local Unit & Position Description

    The Global Centre Finance will deliver high quality services to European countries related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report processes. Services will be rendered in close collaboration with the GSS Finance Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV GL.

     

    Key Tasks

    • Coordination of monthly management & KPI reports which facilitate global GSS performance management
    • Support implementation and effective use of tools and processes (e.g. further improvement of BI tools)
    • Taking a supervisory/supporting role on major internal programs and improvement initiatives
    • Monitor recruitment and training needs
    • Coordinating delivery of operational and organizational initiatives in order to achieve GSS goals
    • Assembling regular status reports, maintaining up-to-date reports and presentations on the GSS and other documents as required
    • Coordinating Service Management Framework for the GSS:
    • Preparation of the Service Deck,
    • Scheduling and facilitating business review sessions
    • Following up with the GSS management and the business and functional representatives on the agreed action plans
    • Actively support and consult Global Centre Manager GSS Finance in his/her management teams on practical and financial matters;
    • Hold responsibility for the stewardship and reporting of the Global Centre’s financial status;
    • Close communication with GC Controller
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis;
    • Build, review and manage exception reports, KPIs, and other key indicators of performance/output

    Position Qualifications

    • Knowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting / Shared Service Center / Outsourcing is an advantage
    • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational skills, tenacious and assertive, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
    • Good negotiation and persuasion skills, as well as excellent customer facing skills with ability to build rapport quickly in a multicultural environment
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines as well as manage conflicting time demands and multiple programs simultaneously
    • Ambitious and result-oriented with the ability to take actions and produce desired outcomes with limited direction
    • Program and project management skills and experience is an asset
    • Fluent English is essential
    • Strong Excel, Power Point and Presentation skills is a must
