  • Local Unit & Position Description

    DNV GL – Business Assurance is Norway’s leading inspection and certification body within aquaculture and equipment used within the industry. Our objective is to support marine and land-based aquaculture farms through certification to become safer and more sustainable. With head office in Bergen and employees along Norway’s long coastline, we primarily deliver accredited certification services to help the industry meet regulations and requirements for fish farms and related equipment (NYTEK/NS 9415 and regulation for land-based aquaculture/NS 9416).

     

    DNV GL – Business Assurance has a unique position in the market and we now want to further strengthen our team by adding a person that will serve as both technical inspector and sales personnel.

     

    Your tasks will be, but not limited to:

    • Structural and stability verification of marine constructions
    • Mooring analyses for marine and aquaculture constructions
    • Structural analyses of main components (net, floating collar)
    • Evaluation of new fish farm concepts
    • Execute, plan and manage projects
    • Be a key resource within your field of competence in the unit
    • Develop client relations

    Position Qualifications

    • BSc/MSc in relevant fields, e.g. marine or structural engineering
    • Minimum 2-3 years experience within:  
      • Structural analyses on ships
      • Mooring analysis for marine and/or aquaculture constructions
    • Experienced with the use of Nauticus Hull and/or SESAM software will be an advantage
    • Experienced with DNV GL Ship rules and ship inspections will be an advantage
    • Fluent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
