    The Cyber Security risk picture of the Maritime industry is getting more and more attention due to increasing number of major incidents, regulatory requirements and the development towards remote and autonomous vessel operation. The Cyber Security team in Maritime Advisory West Europe, located in Hamburg, Germany, is tackling our customer’s challenges with its numerous maritime ships in operations as well as newbuilding projects.

    Ideally, you have experience from: Maritime industry and its various players; consultancy work with project management and business development responsibilities; and in depth maritime control systems and IT cyber security competence.


    As a Junior Cyber Security Expert, you will report to the Team Leader Systems Engineering within the department Safety & Systems Engineering.

    Your Responsibilities are:


    • Work in customer projects on cyber security management. This includes risk and gap assessments at offices and onboard vessels, awareness training, support during the customer’s improvement and implementation phase, as well as verification of our customer’s cyber security management systems
    • Further develop our Cyber Security Services for the maritime industry
    • Support building and maintaining good customer relations

    Position Qualifications

    • Master degree in cyber security, safety & systems engineering, or equivalent university degree
    • Experience from the Maritime industry
    • Experience in Cyber Security and Software & Automation metrics
    • Ideally: certified as ethical hacker or ISO 27001 auditor
    • Ideally: experience in control and automation systems for ships and related security aspects
    • High level of motivation, flexibility, and personal responsibility
    • Fluent in English
    • Team player with strong communication skills
    • Good interpersonal skills and enjoys business development
    • Structured, target oriented, service minded and gets things done
