    As Regional Finance Manager you will provide leadership to the regional finance team and support on all financial matters to the Regional Manager. You will represent the finance function and provide direction, including the integration and implementation of the common finance tools, for our global organization in accordance with the DNV GL strategy, Annual Operating Plan, management system (DMS) and other regulations.

     

    You will have the opportunity to work more broadly within the field of finance and have a true impact on shaping the Regional finance function and driving the finance future in DNV GL Energy. You will work with the managers and employees as well as a broad network of key personnel within the finance area.

     

    • As a key member of the regional leadership team you are responsible for all finance related topics of the region.
    • Design, review and drive the strategic and operational targets together with the Regional Manager and the management team
    • Maintain and further develop appropriate financial KPIs for the region to ensure effective and efficient regional performance.
    • Support the implementation and effective use of tools and processes related to forecasting, planning and budgeting.
    • Drive regional business performance through objective challenge & business reviews.
    • Ensure consistent implementation and compliance of the financial core processes (invoicing, credit collection, project controlling, pricing, contract review and support) across the region.
    • Provide financial & commercial support to line managers as well as project Managers, including coaching as required.
    • Ensure active and timely involvement in bid support including (commercial) review of proposals.
    • Manage and implement any new systems/process for Finance within the Region, ensuring appropriate change management processes are adopted to facilitate a smooth implementation.
    • Lead the financial integration of acquisitions within the region.
    • Support internal transactions (like legal entity mergers) to streamline the legal entity structure of the group.
    • Develop and motivate the (remote) finance team through regular feedback and completion of annual performance appraisals.
    • Close working & liaison with the BA Finance Director to ensure alignment with the Business Area Energy.
    • Interface with regional ‘financial operations’ and the shared service center teams.
    • Create, build and maintain successful relationships throughout the line.

    Position Qualifications

    • Substantial, relevant and varied experience in controllership and financial management, preferably at country or regional level in:

               -Production of management accounts and KPI’s/management information
               -Production of statutory accounts
               -Balance sheet responsibility & control
               -Experience in use of Oracle and Agresso/TEAM financial systems

    • Professionally qualified accountant, University degree within finance/business administration, MBA or equivalent.
    • Experience of working for a multi-national business & dealing with multi-currency transactions.
    • A broad business appreciation and willingness to become involved in aspects of the business beyond financial management.
    • Organizational awareness and excellent knowledge and overview of the organization.
    • Experienced in managing and supervising teams.
    • Ability to influence and negotiate with staff at all levels.
    • Excellent analytical skills, target and performance driven.
    • Independent and self-driven with a focus on delivery & driving outcomes.
    • Flexible proactive approach to work.
    • Preferably experience with integration processes within finance.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish, German, French, Italian or Portuguese would be a plus
