  • Local Unit & Position Description

    DNV GL Business Assurance, Region Asia & Pacific, India and Middle East comprises of 380 employees operating in 6 main Geographies, i.e. Japan, Korea, Australia, South East Asia, India and Middle East.

     

    South East Asia comprises of 40 employees in total with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. We are currently looking for a successful candidate to take on the Business Analyst role for South East Asia (SEA) who will report to the Regional Business Controller.

     

    The Business Analyst will work closely with the SEA representative on all matters related to Finance and Business performance, and act as an advisor to the SEA Management Team on matters related to planning, pricing, resource utilisation, project management, processes, Production and Financial Systems.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Quarterly Forecasting and Yearly Budgeting Processes (input and coordinate).
    • Actively provide, monitor and analyse management data from the Production and Financial Systems to support the SEA Management Team in improving operation/business and financial performance and processes; initiating corrective actions wherever necessary.
    • Periodically review operational and financial trends in order to identify and propose mitigation of potential risks; seek more efficient and effective methods of performing normal routines.
    • Work closely with the Global Shared Services (Finance) and the business unit to ensure proper and timely closing of the monthly financials.
    • Play an active role in the commercial processes with regards to pricing and contract review.
    • Be the governance or gate keeper for Financial and Process compliance within the business unit.
    • Initiate and/or carry out ad-hoc financial and process audits on general financial management and business processes within SEA.
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects.

    Position Qualifications

    • At least a Degree in Accounting/ Finance.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position.
    • Good analytical and communication skills.
    • Positive attitude and solution-oriented. Able to adapt quickly to changing environment and work under pressure.
    • Self-driven and Team work spirit.
    • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
    • Some travelling within SEA is required.
    • Knowledge in basic SQL will be an added advantage.
