    DNV GL – Energy's Sustainable Energy Use – PDI group is seeking a Technical Assistant to be responsible for the quality control review of projects, pre- and post-installation for residential customers in Southern California. The program focuses on residential HVAC systems to improve performance and to insure quality installation of new systems. This position requires a professional individual who is comfortable communicating with customers of all types. This position is based out of our San Diego, CA office.


    Tasks May Include

    • Accurate data entry and tracking of project forms, requests and supporting documentation
    • Fielding and logging customers and contractors calls
    • Scheduling field auditors and customer appointments
    • Creating and updating electronic forms and spreadsheets
    • Conduct site inspections (i.e. ladder climbing for roof access, etc.)
    • Accurate completion of all documentation
    • General project management support
    • Staff public events

    Position Qualifications

    Position Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative services, project coordination, energy efficiency or field support
    • Working knowledge of office administration, residential building science, HVAC or construction trades required
    • Familiar with the local energy market and industry standards, trends, and technologies
    • Knowledge of Energy codes and standards (IECC, ASHRAE, etc.)
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), scheduling and project tracking systems
    • Ability to conduct site inspections (i.e. ladder climbing for roof access, etc.)
    • Ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self- motivated during slow periods
    • Communicates with impact, authenticity and empathy
    • Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly
    • A positive, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
    • Excellent customer service skills, phone, organization and grammar skills are essential
    • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time (limited out of state traveling)
    • Reliable transportation required, must be able to meet the requirements to drive for company business
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
