  • Local Unit & Position Description

    The High-power laboratory (HPL) is part of DNV GL KEMA Laboratories and the largest independent short circuit laboratory in the world performing short circuit tests on components for transmission and distribution networks


    The tests are performed in consultation with customers , manufactures and utilities from all over the world together with a team of Technicians.


    The HPL is looking for a Technician to build and dismantle test set-ups in the test hall.


    Other task are:

    • Switching of circuit components in the test hall and synthetics hall;
    • Measuring of contact-resistance and impedance of test objects;
    • Performing alternate high voltage test under supervision;
    • Photographing test set-ups and working on maintenance and repairs of installations.

    Position Qualifications

    • You have been trained as a first mechanic/ technician level 3/ 4 and are interested in high power technique.
    • We expect you to be able to work both in teams and independently.
    • You are willing to work in day and night shifts.
    • Some knowledge of English is preferred.

    Het High-Power Laboratory (HPL) maakt onderdeel uit van DNV GL KEMA Laboratories en is het grootste onafhankelijke kortsluitlaboratorium te wereld waar apparaten voor transmissie- en distributie- netten worden beproefd op kortsluiting.


    De proeven worden in overleg met de opdrachtgevers, fabrikanten en elektriciteits- bedrijven uit de hele wereld , uitgevoerd in samenwerking met een team Technicians.


    Het HPL zoekt een Technician die proefopstellingen in de beproevingshal opbouwt en afbreekt.


    Andere taken zijn:

    • Het schakelen van circuitcomponenten in beproevingshal en syntheticahal;
    • Meting van contactovergangsweerstand en impedantie van beproevingsopjecten;
    • Het onder toezicht uitvoeren van wisselspanningsproeven;
    • Fotograferen van proefopstellingen en het meewerken aan onderhoud en reparatie van installaties.

    Positie kwalificaties:

    • U hebt een training voor de eerste technicus/ technicus sterke stroom en interesse in hoogspannings-technologie.
    • Van u wordt verwacht dat u zowel als een team als onafhankelijk kunt werken.
    • Je moet bereid zijn om te werken in dag- en nachtdiensten.
    • Enige kennis van Engels en Duits is een voordeel.
