    Business Assurance Poland belongs to Region Central Europe consisting of Benelux, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.


    We are looking for a Country Business Controller in Poland for the period of maternity leave. The local Business Controller is a key member of the Polish management team and reports directly to the Regional Controller of Central Europe. The Country Business Controller acts as an advisor to drive best value for the country by working alongside key decision makers, providing informed insight and challenge to business decisions.


    Key tasks:

    • Assure that numbers are trustworthy, complete and on time
    • Understand and report financial performance of the unit against target and forecast combined with business analysis
    • Coordinate and manage target setting and quarterly forecasting processes
    • Coordinate and publish timely monthly and quarterly financial reports
    • Manage all finance and accounting operations with focus on service quality
    • Monitoring of balance sheet items like accounts receivables, work in progress, accrued expenses and taking corrective actions where necessary
    • Monitor and assess key performance parameters via periodic analysis of the unit goals, benchmark monitoring, performance indicators, project profitability analysis, and internal audits/reviews
    • Advise and provide support in finance to management and work closely with other departments as a supporting and advisory capacity
    • Ensure compliance with DNV GL’s internal Management System guidelines and BA governance principles

    Position Qualifications

    Experience:

    • Experience in similar roles in controllership, financial management and analysis
    • Experience of working for a multinational business, preferably in the service industry business

    Knowledge, skills:

    • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
    • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles and procedures
    • Computer skills: MS Office, Excel advanced
    • Experience working with DNV GL internal tools will be a plus: Basware, ConCert, Oracle
    • Fluent in Polish and English – both written and spoken
