  • Local Unit & Position Description

    We are seeking a skillful, curious and responsible new employee to strengthen our software development team in Trondheim. You will help us develop future technologies and services related to building and maintaining digital twins based on time domain simulations, using cloud infrastructure and web technologies. Currently, we have a key focus on developing technology for online collaborative simulations where we are one of the key drivers of the Open Simulation Platform initiative (www.opensimulationplatform.com). You will be part of the Digital Assurance program under Group Technology and Research. The program currently consists of 10 employees in Trondheim and 7 in Oslo.

     

    Responsibilities

    You will be working in a software development team with activities including:

    • Contribute to the development of SaaS solutions for future assurance services
    • Cloud based authentication and security
    • Development of simulation software
    • SW design and implementation of components front end and back end
    • Contribute to improving existing DevOps processes (test automation, CI, CD)
    • Follow and contribute to improving the established agile framework
    • Quality assurance through code review
    • Collaborate with other research programs and the wider software developer community across DNV GL, as well as industry partners 

    Technologies we use

    Back-end: Node.js, Clojure, Go
    Front-end: JavaScript, React/Redux, ClojureScript
    Application: Java, C++, Docker, FMU/FMI
    Tools: Git, GitHub, VSTS, Jenkins, JetBrains, Azure

    Position Qualifications

    • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • At least 3 years relevant experience
    • Experience with web development:
      • Front end (UX) experience
      • React/Redux, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
    • Knowledge of RESTful Web services
    • Deep familiarity with one or more of these programming languages:
      • Java
      • JavaScript
      • C++
      • Clojure/ClojureScript
    • Experience with Azure cloud services
    • Experience with agile development methods
    • Fluent in English
    • Verbal Norwegian skills are beneficial
