Who we are
In the department of Solar and Storage, DNV GL offers independent advisory and testing services to all stakeholders in the industry. For solar energy, our main focus is on large-scale systems, where our services span the entire life cycle of such installations: starting with feasibility and market studies, then due diligences and independent/owner’s engineering, as well as operational services like monitoring and power failure investigations. Furthermore, we offer trainings and workshops to our customers and cover their testing and risk assessment needs. Our customers include investors, project developers, technology suppliers, authorities and transmission / distribution system operators, within The Netherlands but also in Europe and beyond.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As a Consultant Solar Energy, you will be a key person in our solar energy business development, interacting with customers and working with colleagues to get new projects. Diverse technical content work in solar energy projects for customers will take about 60% of your time. In most projects, you will work in a team with colleagues with a different levels of experience and/or backgrounds, supporting junior colleagues but often also active on a content level yourself; in some cases, you will (also) manage the project team. Additionally, together with senior consultants and the Business Lead Solar, you will spend about 40% of your time on finding new customers and opportunities, serving our existing customers and setting up new services, and preparing proposals - making use of your strong network in the sector.
