    DNV GL – Energy’s Sustainable Energy Use – PDI group is seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Manager to join our Pilots team, to manage the day-to-day operations of a program directed at providing energy efficiency education and market transformation to utility customers and contractors. This position is based out of our Okemos, MI office.
    Tasks May Include
    • Program management, working closely with utility client personnel to monitor program/project results including energy savings, quality assurance
    • Build strategies for achieving program goals and increasing energy efficiency
    • Program will require research of existing industry knowledge, determining equipment selection and installation, monitoring equipment, and creating case studies.
    • Manage performance of subcontractors
    • Complete technical and financial analyses
    • Facilitate analysis of energy efficiency products
    • Monitor program results and develop recommendations to improve the program
    • Coordinate, schedule and conduct educational events
    • Plan and deliver presentations/trainings to a variety of stakeholders including utility clients, customers, community organizations, trade allies on energy efficient technologies and program incentives
    • Develop and provide resources, education and support for contractors and customers networks
    • Perform customer site inspections to verify the installation and data collection of the proposed energy efficient equipment at businesses throughout Michigan 
    • Identify other opportunities for electrical energy or natural gas savings 
    • Ability to work with local and national team members
    • Curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability – as issues and tasks may change quickly
    • Able to identify customers’ needs within a sales context 
    • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment under fast-paced, high stress scenarios

    Position Qualifications

    Position Qualifications
    • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or a related field required
    • Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects)
    • Proficient with IOS and Android device and apps operations
    • Budget and data management experience
    • Technical knowledge of equipment and strong management skills needed
    • Excellent technical writing and oral English communication skills for customer communication desired
    • Experience delivering presentations or other public forums
    • Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
    • Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams
    • Solid problem-solving capabilities
    • Creativity and attention to detail
    • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 5% of the time (primarily local, in-state, same day return travel)
    • Must be able to meet the requirements to drive for company business
    • Physical Requirements – position will require onsite inspections and walking of the customer’s locations. Some light climbing
    • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
    Preferred Skills
    • Experience with energy efficiency or energy efficient products desired
    • Sales experience is a plus
    • Competent and compliant with sales data tracking systems
