  • Local Unit & Position Description

    DNV GL – Maritime Region Americas is seeking an "Intern" to join our highly competent Team in Katy, Texas to support both local and international projects (Class as well as verification projects). This is a summer internship projected to start in May of 2019. 

     

    Tasks May Include

    • Learn and apply DNV GL’s methods to improve business performance, focusing on either:
      • Classification of Floating Offshore Units & Ships – Review and approve design, construction and operation of mobile offshore units and ships of various types
      • Certification of Equipment and Materials for the Offshore Industry – Review and approve design, construction, testing and commissioning of equipment and skids for offshore oil & gas applications
    • Be part of diverse international projects
    • Have direct impact on the bottom line by adding value to our clients
    • Have the opportunity to engage in service and business development
    • Be part of a culturally diverse and highly experienced global network
    • Have the opportunity to work on domestic and international projects

    Position Qualifications

    Position Qualifications

    • Junior/Seniors pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture with strong analytical and mathematical skills
    • A passion for the company’s objective to safeguard life, property and the environment
    • Strong technical skills and interest in industry
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
    • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
