  • Local Unit & Position Description

    The Regional HR Manager supports the Region in developing and maintaining DNV GL's culture and business goals through professional and consistent HR deliveries throughout the unit. The Regional HRM shall advise, challenge and support the Regional Management Team and the unit management team in HR related matters and is responsible for creating and driving the People strategy.  


    The Regional HRM shall plan, coordinate, support, follow-up and improve the HR activities within the Region in accordance with the framework in the DNV GL strategy, budget, the DNV GL Management system (DMSG) and other instructions given by the HR Director and CHRO.  The Regional HRM shall actively promote, support and facilitate the fulfillment of DNV GL's Purpose, Vision and Values, and shall foster a culture of cooperation across the Business Area. The Regional HRM shall at, all times have DNV GL's best interest in focus.


    The Regional HRM will be key in supporting the HRD with HR reporting, analytics, HSE etc. The Regional HRM will ensure annual HR processes are aligned and consistently delivered. The Regional Manager will be based in our London office.


    Tasks may include:

    Governance, To ensure consistent implementation of core HR processes according to internal policies in the following areas: 

    • Recruitment & Induction
    • Development & Competence
    • Performance Management
    • Compensation & Benefit
    • Termination of employment
    • Establishment of HR strategic plans for the unit
    • Follow up and control of the units HR practices
    • Maintenance and overview of HR facts and figures
    • Internal Communication for the unit

    Execution, The HRM executes and monitors the following activities:

    • HR processes of specific relevance for the unit
    • Development, maintenance and facilitation of unit related HR processes where needed
    • Ensure implementation of corporate, divisional or regional initiatives 
    • Annual HR processes, including:
    • Managing Individual Performance process (MIP)
    • Leadership Performance process
    • Salary and Appointment process
    • Succession management process
    • People Engagement process

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or commensurate professional experience required; higher-level education (Master's) preferred
    • Relevant business experience:
      • Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR required
      • Knowledge and experience in of Management System Certification, Product Assurance, Training
      • Proven track record in implementing and supporting change management initiatives
    • A demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment and driving continuous improvement and change to support fast organizational growth
    • A self-driven, service-minded approach to delivering value to stakeholders
    • Have a high degree of team orientation in the approach to business challenges
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Willingness and ability to travel at least 20% of the time, both domestic and international
    • Solution oriented mindset combined with a pragmatic approach
    • A keen interest in achieving results and proactively driving change and completing change processes
    • A commitment to DNV GL's leadership expectations, including results orientation, customer focus, respect, care, and foresight
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
