  • Local Unit & Position Description

     As a Project Controller, you will join Finance team of 11 professionals, who are based in Hamburg and Copenhagen. The team is supporting Renewables Certification.  You will work closely with the project managers, to ensure proper project set-up, maintenance and timely invoicing.

     

    The job as Project Controller is divided into two parts: 

     

    Administrative part

    • Set-up and maintain external and internal projects in Oracle (or other PA software)
    • Set-up of IORAs, if applicable
    • Review of supplier’s invoices and allocation to the respective project / task incl. posting of events
    • Billing towards the client / other Group company, incl. posting of events
    • Support in AR collection

    Controlling part

    • Act as a sounding board / sparring’s partner to the project manager
    • Support the PM from a finance perspective
    • Supply of relevant project data to both the Project Manager and the BU management
    • This includes, but may not be limited to:
      • Financial reviews of proposals
      • Alignment of work order in place and services rendered to the client
      • Timely billing
      • Supervision of project profitability
      • Early warning in case of project issues, incl. bad debt risk
      • Lessons learnt / sharing of best practice  

    Position Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Business Administration or Accounting (alternatively similar practical experience)
    • Few years of experience in project administration and controlling
    • Basic knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP
    • Knowledge of relevant tax directives, e.g. VAT
    • Excellence in Excel
    • Fluency in German and English
    • Good knowledge of Oracle PA module would be an advantage
