    DNV GL – Energy, North America’s is seeking a Technical Assistant - Field Auditor to join our Anaheim-based Program Development and Implementation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting residential energy audits, as well post-installation quality control inspections for home weatherization.   


    The field audits may include residential customers in the Burbank, Pasadena and Anaheim areas of Southern California. The program focuses on residential energy and water efficiency.  This position requires a professional individual who is comfortable communicating with customers of all types. This position is based out of our Anaheim, CA office.


    Tasks to Include:


    • Conducting in-home energy and water audits
    • Performing direct install of energy-efficient technologies and performing inspections
    • Evaluating application qualification based on technological criteria
    • Calculating energy savings and other project parameters
    • Assisting program participants (customers and contractors) in the application process
    • Documenting participant communication
    • Accurately complete applications from receipt through payment
    • Creating and updating electronic forms and spreadsheets 
    • Routine bending, lifting, and reaching consistent with office work
    • Communicating (both verbal and written) with customers in person, by phone or email
    • General project management support 
    • Staffing public events

    Position Qualifications


    Position Qualifications


    • 2 years performing Energy audits with experience in energy efficiency technologies - Preferred
    • Experience with CRM is preferred (i.e. Salesforce or others )
    • Experience calculating energy savings -  required 
    • Familiarity with residential HVAC standards, technologies and controls (certifications a plus)
    • Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent English communication (both verbal and written), customer service support in person/phone; grammar skills are essential (Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus)
    • Willingness and ability to travel daily by car locally, up to 75% of the time
    • The ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self- motivated
    • Excellent customer service skills; proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly
    • A positive, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
    • Ability to support community events on week days and weekends
    • Reliable transportation required and must be able to meet the requirements to drive for company business
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with current proof of insurance
