  • Local Unit & Position Description

    We are seeking a Product Owner to become part of the team on development and transition to next generation of ShipManager QHSE.

     

    The ShipManager QHSE is a ship safety management system that supports quality and safety processes and reduces the administrative efforts of shipping companies. Curently, we are moving responsibility for the system to Gdynia with intention of its further development and migration to next generation platform. We are looking for ambitious team player who would like to take major role in that journey.

     

    Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

    • Cooperation with Product Manager, Architect and UX/UI expert on definition of product Backlog including priorities
    • Communication of business needs to developers
    • Functional approval of completed User Stories
    • Prioritization of enhancements and identified bugs in daily product development
    • Gathering requirements and feedback from users
    • Preparation of required documentation

    Position Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Proven practical experience with ship safety management systems
    • Knowledge of quality and safety processes realized on board of the vessel and in ship operator office
    • Understanding of operational and business advantages of possessing highly effective safety management system
    • Capability to communicate with various types of stakeholders: developers, ship management staff, management, etc.
    • Very good verbal and written communications skills in English.

    Following qualifications will be considered as advantage:

    • Basic understanding of software development process
    • Knowledge of Agile software development processes and PO role
    • Knowledge of Azure DevOps
    • Experience in similar positions
