Do you also share our passion for innovation and help balance the Energy Trilemma? Here is your chance. For our team in Arnhem We are looking for an Intern with a HBO/WO background, with a focus on Energy Systems, experience with dispatch modelling is preferred.
As an intern you will be working on a project that comprises a future power system analysis to quantify the system flexibility needs in a generic way.
Across the globe, the role of renewables in the power system will increase. Because of their varying nature, RES integration implies the need for a certain amount of flexible and controllable assets in the power system. Those assets may be controllable generation assets, storage or demand side. The question you will address is at what timescale this flexibility is required. Based on an existing dispatch model, you will create a tool that quantifies this question for generic system properties and apply this to multiple power systems from around the globe. The final product of your analysis comprises a report and a tool.
The above project will require a self-enabling attitude with respect to reaching the project goals. As such, you will be your own project-leader under the supervision of senior colleagues. You will also be asked to identify market opportunities, introduce the project results with/at potential customers and connect with related existing services.
