Senior Well Integrity Engineer

The services of the Plants & Pipelines section covers Design Review, Quality Assurance and Consulting for offshore platforms for the oil & gas , offshore and onshore pipelines, as well as onshore plants, terminals and refineries. These assets with their associated wells require examination and inspection for independent verification.

The projects in this area offer a great variety of tasks and technical challenges, providing broad professional opportunities for an open minded and flexible engineer, who enjoys multi-discipline technical work both inside and outside the office. 

• Conduct analysis, investigations and provide engineering recommendations in order to remedy the deficiencies of the wells already inspected and those planned for inspection based on historical well data
• Provide general support for well optimization
• Set up a database management system covering well integrity
• Inspections of manufacturing and site surveys (onshore/offshore)
• Proposal preparation and interfacing with clients
• Determination of the project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assign personnel to phases and elements; review bids from contractors
• Maintenance of project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordination activities
• Controlling of project costs
• Preparation of project status reports
• Coordination with the Junior Engineers to create more efficient workflow of projects
• Design, drawing and calculation approvals
• Risk assessment and participation in safety studies such as HAZID or HAZOP
• Witness acceptance/functional tests

• An engineering degree in drilling, completions and production is required
• Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Must be knowledgeable in well design (casing/tubing), formation properties and in-situ conditions down-hole
• Experience with remedial operations to address a variety of well issues
• Must be technical in nature to help evaluate software packages and be able to set up a database methodically
• An understanding of well production and completion issues associated with corrosion and degradation and progressing down-hole conditions is preferred to compliment an overall comprehension of well construction and integrity is essential
• Excellent project management skills
• Knowledge of applicable local and international codes and standards in this field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, active team player, ability to work independently
• Positive and self-motivated attitude, proactive customer focus including ability to present and sell our services to the client
• Fluent German (at least C2 level) and good command of English language required, additional foreign languages are of great advantage
• Flexibility for occasional business travel, both domestically and abroad
