Local Unit & Position Description

Sales is a function in Certification Division, Italy with an aim to improve Sales Actions, including the Territory Management, the Key Account Management and the Inside Sales Team. Scope of the function is to create a strong and aligned approach to improve sales actions and increase collaboration between the Sales Team, other internal functions and the new DASC Division. 


Important tasks for this role is to increase internal Sales capacity in generating Leads and Sales, together with the capacity to develop new Sales Projects and Channels.


Sales Area Manager will be responsible for crosselling and new sales for the assigned territory and customers list (Centre-South Italy) and for coordinating sales' team through proactive actions accordingly with MARCOM and Channels management.


Key tasks:

  • Ensure the achievement of sales target for the assigned Area;
  • Maintain and develop high level relations with market stakeholders;
  • Implement actions for the improvement of Market penetration and effectiveness of results.

Responsibilities of Sales Area Manager will also include:

  • Defining and maintaining lists of Channels and establishing, maintaining and developing relations with Intermediaries;
  • Being proactive towards potential customers within define goal & targets;
  • Assisting and supporting individuals within the team in negotiations with customers and channels;
  • Stimulating sales awareness of the Stakeholders by distribution of information, answering questions, inviting for participation in Customer visits and presenting sales and marketing topics at internal meetings;
  • Coaching, supervising, monitoring and following up team members in line to improve their empowerment, satisfaction and professional growth;
  • Ensuring a strong and positive team working within the department and the organization with a strong Team Building Approach;
  • Supporting the Sales function for the definition of forecast, Tactical Plan, KPIs and Target;
  • Increasing Channels Approach to boost Sales Results;
  • Strong collaborating with all functions to create a positive environment of Sales development;
  • Collaborating with the DASC division, Product Assurance team and Training Team to boost around the core services.

Position Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Sales - min. 5 years with proven capability to achieve assigned KPIs,
  • Strong technical competence on DNVGL services,
  • Strong team's working approach,
  • Excellent English and Italian language skills (both in writing and speaking),
  • Team building Approach,
  • Resilience on Stress Management and capacity in filtering objectives in tasks,
  • Capacity on project development.
