We’re recruiting for a growth focussed Principal Consultant with proven seller-doer consulting experience in the domain of ESG and Sustainability to join our Sustainability Assessment Services team in the UK based in London to help us achieve our vision and goals.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role to achieve growth as a seller doer, lead the delivery of projects, ensure service excellence for clients and play an important role in development of others within the team. We help clients implement, improve and demonstrate their commitment and progress towards authentic sustainability.
You will get the opportunity to win, lead and develop our work on a wide range of sustainability services primarily focussed on Sustainability report assurance, ESG and sustainable finance, supply chain sustainability, sustainability strategy and climate change consulting.
When doing this, you will get the opportunity to engage with many of the regions leading companies and brands across a wide range of sectors and to leverage a suite of services and digital technologies to scope sell and deliver innovative solutions.
Our UK team comprises 17 members, based predominantly at our offices at London Bridge (Central London). The UK Assessment Services team sits within the innovative Digital Assurance and Supply Chain (DASC) division of Business Assurance, and works closely with sustainability colleagues across Business Assurance globally. Business Assurance is one of four business areas within DNVGL, the others being Maritime, Oil and Gas, and Energy.
You will be expected to lead the growth of our sales and delivery for a range of sustainability services and may have specialism and expertise in several of them, including:

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
Proven track record in sales and business development of ESG & Sustainability services, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Proven track record of leading & delivering consulting services as a trusted advisor and thought leader in their domain of ESG/sustainability.
Academic qualifications relevant to sustainability subject areas.
Proven project and/or team leader, delivering service excellence.
Able to clearly delegate tasks and provide sufficient guidance, support and feedback on performance to Senior Consultants and Consultants.
Able to line manage Senior Consultants and provide coaching and development.
