Local Unit & Position Description

In line with DNV’s position as a trusted voice to tackle global transformations, the DNV Supply Chain and Product Assurance division’s ambition is to shape the future of assurance through innovating, developing and growing assurance services in Digital, Supply Chain, Medical Technology & Healthcare and Offshore Aquaculture.

 

Operating within this division, the Global Sales & Go To Market team works to engage customers with their transformation agenda, partnering with them on their journey to a more digitalized, greener, safer and circular economy.

 

Objective of the role:

The Sales Operations Manager will work to build sales excellence of the Supply Chain and Product Assurance with regards to its sales operations, processes, data and tools. A key objective will be for you to define, adjust and transform sales processes to maximize impact of our sales teams. Your focus will be on on enabling strong collaboration across all sales stakeholders, working closely within the division and other DNV business areas. Key to this role is your ability to put together data-driven sales insights by orchestrating a timely update of the global pipeline across all sales stages. You will also be expected to drive sales enablement and help administer sales tools and other knowledge bases. Finally, you will strive to align the organization across a set sales methodology allowing us to increasingly engage customers with a consultative approach.

Your tasks may include:

  • Put together data-driven sales insights to help drive sales strategy. Orchestrate timely and accurate updates of the global pipeline against key metrics and across all sales stages.
  • Sales process design, support and enforcement. Drive assessment and adoption of a sales methodology that can drive a consultative sales approach to our customers
  • Coordinate target setting and sales performance monitoring. Incentive scheme design and adjustment.
  • Drive sales enablement on behalf of regional teams, and support major bids when necessary.
  • Help administer sales tools and other knowledge bases, and optimise the sales technology stack, including the CRM.
  • Support the sales function on topics related to pricing and discount management.
  • Oversee sales reporting and support sales forecasting and high-level planning.
  • Key sales metrics analysis, combined with reporting on sales performance metrics on a regular basis with detailed overview on status, risks and opportunities.

Position Qualifications

Demonstrated track record in the following areas:

  • Proven track record of managing enterprise sales performance and growth.
  • Experience of developing and driving state of the art sales processes, tools and systems. Experience in orchestrating sales teams via CRM tools (such as Oracle Sales or SalesForce) is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability/ESG related topics. Strong interest in digital technologies related to trust, transparency and the digital transformation of supply chains
  • Experience in any of the following industries: Food & Beverage, Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Medical/Healthcare industries.
  • Results oriented and with high focus on delivery. Ability to simplify and get things done.
  • Flexible and service-minded with relationship building excellence.
  • Ability to interact and cooperate across our global organization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (local and international).

Competency Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional experience required; higher-level education (Master’s) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Global mindset. Ability to engage with teams based throughout the world.
  • Passionate about driving performance and improvement.
  • Have a sense of urgency and “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to drive and support change initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, and fluency in another language.
