The Durban Station is part of South Africa Maritime. The present team consists of full time FiS surveyors and Sub-Contractors. Predominately the main activities are FiS, FiS-O (MOUiO) Surveys and Maritime Management Systems and a smaller number of CMC/VMC activities.
As a Surveyor/Auditor in Durban you will be key member of the Africa Maritime Team, the teams in Africa (Angola, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa) form part of a close knit, motivated and unique group where mutual support is essential in covering DNVGL services across a vast continent.
South Africa forms part of Area Middle East and Africa and Region South East Europe, Middle East and Africa and you be instrumental in ensuring a highly efficient and quality focused operation.
Tasks May Include dependent upon experience and role : (Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate may expect)
Maritime Surveys and Management Systems Audits in accordance with Classification, SOLAS, MARPOL and other applicable IMO Rules and Regulations.
Surveys/Audits predminately in Durban and surrounding areas but occasional work within other South African Ports and East/Westt Africa is to be expected.
