DNV GL USA, Inc. is seeking multiple Senior Surveyors to work at our office in Metairie, Louisiana.
Job Duties: Conduct inspection surveys and certification of ships in service to ascertain the condition of mechanically functioning hulls, machinery, equipment, and equipage to determine repairs required for vessels to meet requirements for classification. Conduct inspection and certification of shipbuilding materials and of ships during construction. Review data packages to ensure compliance with design approval reports. Up to 40% domestic and 5% international travel required.
Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field and 2 years as (all levels): Marine Engineer/Surveyor, Marine Surveyor/Auditor, Surveyor/Auditor, Marine Auditor, Marine Surveyor, Surveyor, Surveyor/Engineer, Marine Engineer, Technical Officer, or Naval Architect.
