DNV- Energy Systems is looking for an Assistant Clean Energy Program Manager to guide the team that is helping New Mexico’s businesses and multifamily communities understand their energy use and utilize more clean energy. Our successful candidate will have proven experience developing strategies and tactics that help engage customers, achieve goals, and motivate team members. You’ll be an active part of the leadership team that works with our client, local team, and national support staff to achieve utility clean energy program success. You’ll also have opportunities to expand your experience crafting and implementing comprehensive plans, managing program budgets, and ensuring precise delivery of contract objectives. This position is based in our Albuquerque, NM office. 

 

Tasks May Include

  • Develop, write, and execute high-quality and creative strategic plans, participate in financial and budgetary oversight, and manage workload with multiple, shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Partner with our utility client to manage program operations, energy savings and quality assurance, and provide input to improve the program.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations and management of team of engineers, outreach energy advisors and operations support. 
  • Engage a variety of organizations including utility customers, trade allies, and management teams on energy-efficient technologies and utility incentives offered for these technologies.
  • Develop concepts for outreach/marketing materials, taking technically complex ideas making them easy to understand for customers who may not be technical. 
  • Manage team members daily work and participate in ongoing evaluations.

 

Position Qualifications

Requiements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic plans, setting and adjusting Key Performance Indicator goals, managing budgets and data, and coordinating teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical groups, strong attention to details, superior organization skills, experience developing and implementing functional processes, and intermediate skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and confidence to provide strategic guidance working directly with our client, proactively identifying customer needs, and managing expectations with the client, utility customers, and team
  • Some Travel up to 10%
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug and background screening. 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing a team
  • At least 5 years of relevant energy efficiency program/project management experience in a consulting environment.
  • Project Manager (PMP) certification 
  • A sustainability background with a solid knowledge of energy management technologies and practices.
