Local Unit & Position Description

 

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Support Consultant
for our BICC Poland Operational Team based in Gdynia, Poland.

 

The Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC) is responsible for developing reports, dashboard and data warehouse to create business value from company data, as well as supporting (2nd and 3rd line) and maintaining multiple data warehouse systems and reporting services. In BICC we're using Informatica PowerCenter as ETL tool, IBM Sailfish (IIAS) as data warehouse system, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Azure Services.

 

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Datawarehouse and ETL process support
  • Troubleshooting, monitoring, deploying, data quality checking, scripting, investigating, and improving existing BI solutions
  • Documentation of new and existing solutions
  • Collaborating with local and international virtual teams, customers, and project stakeholders in an agile environment

Position Qualifications

To maximize your chances, you need:

  • Engineer’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, in computer science, software development, mathematics or other relevant fields
  • SQL querying skills (ANSI SQL, T-SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or other ETL tool
  • Understanding of BI/DWH concepts and Data modelling (Kimball)
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to write quality documentation for projects you are involved in

Additional nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience in working with MS Azure data platform
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with tools like JIRA, VSTS, Azure DevOps, etc.
