Primary Responsibilities:

 

As an entry point into the Project Engineering Team, onboard new renewable energy plants into GreenPowerMonitoring&Solutions' flagship monitoring and control products. In this role, the team member will be responsible for successful configuration of all aspects of a project, including plant information, device hierarchy, device data management, alarms and reporting.

Members of the team will assist with training, skills and knowledge acquisition, which will be further developed while working on projects.

 

Duties may include (depending on experience):

  • Analyze photovoltaic and wind projects to accurately monitor all the variables needed
  • Generate single line diagrams of the cabinets including the hardware for the SCADA solution to be deployed given the project descriptions and Project Manager direction
  • Support the team to reach the schedules for Customer deliverables
  • Support the commissioning of the SCADA
  • Configure the software to get the best value from the data for the Customer
    • Configuration of Views/Alarm Creation/Report Generation
    • Vectorial and One line Diagram Representation and Drawing
  • Assist with general group activities
  • Occasional travel of a short term nature
  • Write technical reports and critical reviews; make professional presentations to clients

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/abilities:

  • Degree in engineering, physics or mathematics field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced Project environment and to deliver high quality work
  • Demonstrable ability to work in projects and achieve accurate results on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (desirable)
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation, including a willingness to develop and enjoy taking on challenges and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the renewable energy industry or renewable energy taught course modules, including knowledge of how wind and photovoltaic plants work
  • Analysis and interpretation of the layout of renewable energy plants
  • Knowledge in Linux and networking
