Local Unit & Position Description

Our Rio de Janeiro team is responsible for maritime activities in Brazil, including offshore inspections and surveys. In this context, DNV is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Offshore Inspection Technician to perform in offshore environment surveys.


Job Activities May Include

  • Hull Inspections;
  • Load tests on cranes & Lifeboats;
  • NDT supervision;
  • Repairs follow up; 
  • Mooring systems surveys.

Position Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Technical degree Marine Structure and or Steel Hull Inspection Qualification;
  • Knowledge of offshore marine structure and equipment;
  • Knowledge on hull structure failure modes;
  • Must have written and verbal English and Portuguese communications skills, including ability to write technical reports and emails;
  • Availability to work offshore;
  • Digitalization mindset;
  • Willingness to travel across the country and abroad;
  • Ability to learn technical concepts;
  • Attention to details;
  • Self motivated.
