Local Unit & Position Description

DNV GL - Energy's Sustainable Energy Use is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Program Delivery and Implementation (PDI) team. PDI helps commercial and industrial utility customers save energy and money. The successful candidate will possess with strong interpersonal and organizational and will be responsible for application processing and general office support. This position is based in our Okemos, Michigan office.

 

Tasks May Include

 

  • Fielding and logging telephone calls from customers and contractors
  • General office duties, including greeting visitors, receiving packages, managing mail, office supplies and logistics 
  • Faxing, copying, scanning of documentation; maintaining paper and electronic files
  • Data entry, database management, database updates
  • Quick, accurate and timely data entry of project work and supporting documentation 
  • Assist project managers with effective facilitation of team and client meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items, and proactively following up on action items
  • Preparing and mailing correspondence

Position Qualifications

What we’re asking

 

  • Associates Degree in Business or related discipline or 3 years of professional experience in administrative services required
  • Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), customer service and phone skills, organization, grammar, and spelling skills are essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self-motivated during slow periods
  • Ability to take direction from multiple people and perform varied tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude and team-oriented spirit
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Works according to detailed procedures but also demonstrates independent judgment and takes initiative in improving processes, quality control
  • Ability to bend, lift, and reach consistent with typical office work
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening


Preferred Skills (Not Required):

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • A strong passion for the energy efficiency industry
  • Ability to work with local and national team members
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability – as issues and tasks may change quickly
  • Efficient management of one’s own time
