DNV GL - Energy’s Sustainable Use group is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team to provide our commercial and industrial customers with technical support to make their facilities more energy efficient. The position involves effective planning, implementation and assessment of tactically-focused marketing activities. From developing marketing materials and to delivering compelling presentations, this position seeks to incorporate innovative approaches with proven marketing methods. The position will interface with clients, contractors, technical staff and utility customers, and must establish effective working relationships with these groups. This position is based out of our Albuquerque, NM office.


Tasks May Include

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Annual Marketing and Outreach plan to support program operations
  • Prepare concise, well-written documents and presentations using appropriate business and technical language for the audience
  • Design visually impactful marketing materials and compelling presentations
  • Prepare and edit content for technical fact sheets, program brochures, outreach materials, case studies and other marketing collateral
  • Write and edit program content for the web, communicative bulletins and other mass communications
  • Interface with clients, contractors, technical staff and utility customers, and establish effective working relationships with these groups
  • Support the execution of small meetings, trainings and PR events
  • Maintain web sites that provide the public, our client and our Trade Allies access to current program materials.
  • Perform market research and analysis under direction of senior staff to provide recommendations for Market strategy to promote the program to identified parties
  • Work collaboratively within DNV GL ENERGY and Client teams
  • Work in partnership on outreach activities with Outreach Professional. 
  • Additional tasks as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience required 
  • Experience in either energy efficiency or Business to Business efforts is preferred
  • Working knowledge of website management tools and specific marketing and communications tools (e.g. Constant Contact) required
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office applications as well as web-based tools essential
  • Must have experience designing and composing collateral material
  • Experience in contributing to the development of marketing plans required
  • Ability to transition quickly between tasks without compromising quality
  • Positive attitude and desire to actively collaborate with team members
  • Familiarity with the New Mexico marketplace 
  • Collaboratively work with local and national team members
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 20% of the time
  • Routine bending, lifting, and reaching consistent with office work
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
