Are you an expert in cyber security in the utility industry? Do you want to take a leading role in developing and extending DNV GL’s cyber security services?

 

Then we are looking for you!

 

Our Intelligent Networks and Communications (INC) team supports our customers with the transition towards the smart grid. Cyber Security is becoming more and more important with the smart grid and smart meter Infrastructure being rolled out. To strengthen the expertise in the area of cyber security we are looking for a consultant with a track record in this area preferable in the utility industry.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities:

 

As Consultant Cyber Security you will be responsible for taking the lead in developing and extending our cyber security services in the SCADA EMS/DMS, smart grid and smart meter infrastructure area.

 

This includes:

• Security and risk assessments

• Developing requirement specifications

• Developing security risk reduction strategies

• Cyber security component testing

• End to end security testing

 

You will be working in a new and growing team. You will work together with them and individually on client-oriented solutions with a commercial approach and on a tactical and sometimes strategic level in the customer’s organization. You will take part in team selling, aiming to generate assignments for yourself and other members of the related teams. The work will be carried out in national and international project teams in collaboration with both DNV GL and clients’ experts and consultants.

Position Qualifications

We’re looking for a team player who is able to work independently, is goal-oriented and has a flexible attitude. You are motivated to expand our business in cyber security.

 

And also:

  • Master degree in IT, Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in the area of cyber security
  • Preferably you have a CISSP certificate
  • Preferably experience in the energy industry
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with relevant standards, systems, technologies and methodologies
  • For our international projects you must be willing to travel abroad on regular basis
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Commercial feeling and approach, and a client-oriented and flexible attitude
  • Teamwork, goal orientation and perseverance come naturally to you

Preferably you also have experience in the following areas:

  • Strong knowledge of National and European security standards, rules and regulation
  • Strong experience with data communication network design and security fundamentals
  • Strong experience in cyber security risk assessments
  • Experience with energy and utility industry concepts and technologies: SCADA EMS/DMS, Distribution Automation and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
  • Experience with Technical specification development
  • Knowledge of security testing standards, strategies and tools
  • Experience in outlining, writing, and delivering service proposals, whether in response to utility client requests (e.g., RFPs) or through unsolicited business development activity
  • Experience in developing and delivering publications in trade journals, presentations at conferences, or in articulating points of view as an expert witness
