Local Unit & Position Description

The Global Centre Finance delivers high quality services to European countries related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report processes. Services are rendered in close collaboration with the GSS Finance Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV GL.

We are seeking Oracle Finance Transformation Specialist for the Global Centre GSS Finance based in Gdynia, Poland.

 

The Oracle Finance Transformation Specialist initially report to the Head of GSS Finance and is a member of a team of Oracle Specialists.

To succeed in this role you are a team player with ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm to be part of building up the Global Centre. You will play a key role in implementation and maintenance of Oracle system for Finance operations.

 

Key Tasks

 

  • Actively participate in Oracle implementation for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Record to Report streams
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to ensure the system can handle real-life scenarios according to specifications
  • Investigate discrepancies in internal accounting processes and system designed processes to take action to resolve
  • Suggest and participate in possible improvements
  • Acting as first point of contact for any queries related to Oracle system and solving occurred issues
  • Conducting Oracle training for Accountants, Team Leaders, and Heads of Section

Position Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Minimum two years’ experience in similar position
  • Good knowledge and experience in Oracle 
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting principles from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and/or Record to Report
  • Experience in system implementation will be an asset
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel) and PowerPoint 
  • Previous experience with a Shared Services Company/BPO preferred
  • Good English skills required, written and verbal
  • Additional European language skills will be advantageous
