    Our Structures section is organized within DNV GL Maritime and as a part of Maritime Advisory Region West Europe 13 employees are dealing with all kind of sophisticated strength, vibration and noise analyses for international customers.


    The vacant position as a student assistant is related to support functions for the strength, vibration and acoustic services. This includes also participation in and contribution to  internal R&D projects regarding the named disciplines.


    As a student assistant in our Structures Section you will have the following tasks:

    • Preparation of pre- and postprocessing files within various engineering project­s e.g. preparation of buckling and fatigue assessments in the context of global strength analyses
    • Checking calculation models provided by clients and the related rectification of smaller errors
    • Running variant investigations and other limited procedural related development tasks within internal development projects.


    Position Qualifications

    • Students with academic degree/ Students pursuing bachelor degree in relevant technical studies
    • Basic knowledge in naval architecture is a prerequisite
    • Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge in Finite-Element Software e.g. ANSYS and classification software e.g. Poseidon and Nauticus will be advantageous
    • Good English language skills (both written and spoken)
    • Fluent German language skills
    • Good technical understanding
    • Capable of working independently and reliably.
